lyrics
Follow where the footprints end
And the violent sky begins
Stealing fire, the gods for hire
When we let the old man win
Black holes where the sun don’t shine
Bitter things that should be feared
Madness folds a hand grown old
Leviathan and weird
Doesn’t matter who you are
The pace of change will synchronise
The fuel and the spark
A galaxy of scars
The pace of change will find a way
Don’t hold on
The ground will feel our thunder when we
Break
Break
When all the stories born of man
Are a bitter pill to taste
Pride to fall, the house wins all
With sermons paid to hate
Old ways stay uncertain times
Crying nations left to fate
A war gone cold, have and to hold
A decision made too late
(As above, so below)
Doesn’t matter who you are
(A fire in the night)
The pace of change will synchronise
(As above, so below)
The fuel and the spark
(Woah-oh)
(As above, so below)
A galaxy of scars
(A fire in the night)
The pace of change will find a way
(As above, so below)
Don’t hold on
The ground will feel our thunder when we
Break
Break
Break
Break
Wake me up when the world’s in remission
Nocebo in the human condition
Wake me up when the world’s in remission
(Vodka and chromosomes)
(There’s always new toys to own)
Nocebo in the human condition
(Vodka and pheromones)
(There’s always new toys to own)
Wake me up
Lying alone with an itch in my skin
Blood in my nails with my flesh getting thin
And I don’t understand, they won’t leave me alone
The lights are all off and yet everyone’s home
I can’t lift my arms and my fingers are dead
Murdering crows are surrounding my bed
And I wish for the time when I wasn’t so sick
The freezer is full and air’s getting thick
Mummy and daddy are no longer here
Their face is the same but their voice is unclear
And I’m torn
But I’m nice and warm
Stuck on this train and I’m all alone
Etched in strangers on wet windows
Holes in the seats, my feet on the floor
Personal phone call for all to score
Anti mask soldier hates everyone
Waging a war with his reflection
Babies untamed on the radio
Laughing undead with no place to go
Let me off now and I’m walking on
See by the light of your eyes
Going for days I can’t find my home
Time lies
Time lies
Time lies
Time lies
Time lies
Doesn’t matter who you are
The pace of change is all around
The signals from the stars
A galaxy of scars
The pace of change will find a way
Don’t hold on
The ground will feel our thunder when we

Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music. I look forward to their next creation. Drifting Sun are definitely one of prog rock’s brightest lights. Thank you, DS!

For those that remember the Look and Read series in the early eighties (which had such programmes as 'Dark Towers'), in my opinion this music evokes those feelings of mystery and wonder. Very, very impressed. Trebör
