lyrics
What a wonderfvll discoverie
Illuminated script by councillors and kings
Unbinding brackish reveries
Black moor and the bleakest of fells
Petrichoral melodies
Fly agaric for the dog that barks at night
Juvenile weight of sovereignty
Cunning folk and the darkest of times
Speak the words and you will see
Something wicked in the moonlight
On the dark side of the tree
Mummy’s never coming home
Speak the words and you will see
Something wicked in the moonlight
On the dark side of the tree
Mummy’s never coming home
I spy the witch before me
Crying pins into her hands
A daemon hath become thee
Somebody has to hang
Oh little Jennet what have you done
Little orphan Jennet what have you become
Oh little Jennet what have you done
Howling at the moon
With your clay picture broke in two
Little orphan Jennet what have you become
Goddess of the crossroads and the holy voice of dogs
Oh little Jennet what have you done
Little orphan Jennet what have you become
The road is long
And unbinding
All that you wish, you’ll forever be
Darksome child
I have found you
Holding your hand in the night
Athamé and infernal suns
I have found you
Call of the wild in your heart
I have found you
All that you wish you’ll forever be
Wild of heart
Darksome child
Holding your hand in the night
Oh little Jennet what have you done
Little orphan Jennet what have you become
Oh little Jennet what have you done
Howling at the moon
With your clay picture broke in two
Little orphan Jennet what have you become
Goddess of the crossroads and the holy voice of dogs
Road is long
And unbinding
All that you wish, you’ll forever be
Darksome child
I have found you
Holding your hand in the night
Flow, my tears
Fall from your springs
Exiled forever
Let me mourn
Fading
I am fading
Your crepitant voice
Feeding me
Save me
Oh save me
Sate my tears
Take me to the tree

Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music. I look forward to their next creation. Drifting Sun are definitely one of prog rock’s brightest lights. Thank you, DS!

For those that remember the Look and Read series in the early eighties (which had such programmes as 'Dark Towers'), in my opinion this music evokes those feelings of mystery and wonder. Very, very impressed. Trebör
